In this one-time 45-minute class, students will learn easy "tricks" to help them learn and memorize their multiplication facts and increase their mental math recall speed and play games to reinforce what they learned.

In this one-time class, come learn some easy multiplication "tricks" to help recall speed for memorization of multiplication facts. This is a foundational skill that will be used through high school, college, and LIFE! Mastering the multiplication facts will pave the way for success in future math classes. We will go over each math trick, practice each one, and if time permits, play math games practicing the multiplication tricks. After class, ask your student to show you the multiplication tricks! This will help cement the concept in their minds. NOTE: This is a ONE-TIME class, therefore please only sign up for 1 meeting. If multiple meetings are signed up for, I will kindly cancel all meetings after the first one. If your student is 6th-9th grade and you would like additional meetings with me, please sign up for my ongoing 1-1 math tutoring classes! I would love to see them there! :-)

Hi there! My name is Mrs. Lana and I teach math & writing! I have tutored math for over 11 years (the last 5 of which have been online) and I am an online math educator in another sector as well. I have a math degree and secondary teaching certification and I have homeschooled for 16 years. I love helping kids have breakthroughs in learning math and help them to enjoy math tutoring through learning while having fun with math games and "tricks" to help with mental math. Who really likes to go to math tutoring??? So, I like to make it more fun and that goes a long way in helping a student to learn.
I also teach Creative Writing where we explore different kinds of creative writing and add "decoration" words to make our writing not only more interesting, but also intriguing!
