Students will learn how to identify finger numbers and groups of 2 and 3 black keys on the piano. They will practice following finger numbers on sheet music to play "Hot Cross Buns" and "Mary Had a Little Lamb". They will also learn how to play notes for different lengths of time.
Digital sheet music will be provided, along with other handouts. Students need a keyboard or piano with a laptop/iPad/phone set at a side angle so I can see their fingers on the keys. Depending on age, students will need a parent present to assist with pointing to the finger numbers on the sheet music while students press the black keys.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
