Everyone dreams and wonders "What would happen if...?" In this class, I'll share a funny animal poem with my students in order to spark their imagination. Together we'll have fun exploring some simple poetic techniques, then students will experiment with ideas to write a poem of their own. Students will learn how language patterns can be used in poetry writing. Students will learn about the technique of alliteration in poetry. Students will practice the above techniques and apply them in their own poetry writing.
