Class Experience
Students will learn to identify the different parts of speech, what they do in a sentence, and practice how to use them in a sentence.
I have tutored for over 10 years and homeschooled 4 kids over 16 years -- what works with one child does not always work with another. Children learn to read and write on their own timetables and get tripped up in different places. I am a grammar nerd and a writing geek.... these things make sense to me and I love helping to make them come alive to others! I like to make learning fun and use what students are already interested in to teach them the things they might be missing. I like to see reading and writing "click"!
Practice Practice Practice!
A small object should be brought to class on the week covering adjectives -- example: a favorite book, stuffed animal, toy, etc. Please no LIVE animals -- if your student would like to "bring" their pet, please bring a picture of their beloved animal instead of the real thing!
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
