Assessment
Lesson 1 students will be given a pdf activity sheet were students will dermic whether example are complete sentences or not. They will also be asked to write complete sentences about what they see in a picture. Lessons 2-4 you will be given writing prompt the correspond with the lesson topic.
Grading
Students will receive individual feedback on the writing and friendly, helpful tips on how to improve.

With our asynchronistic format, students have the flexibility to learn at their own pace, fostering a love for writing that lasts a lifetime. Join us and watch your child's confidence soar as they embark on this enriching writing adventure!

Each lesson will be given activities and/or writing prompt the correspond with the lesson topic. Students may hand write activities and send it a photograph the writing or may send a digital copy if you prefer to type out the activity/writing prompt.

Identifying complete sentence vs incomplete sentence.
Writing your own complete sentence.

Write complete sentences to describe pictures worksheet. 
Lesson 2:
Paragraphs
 What is a paragraph?
What should be included in a paragraph?
Writing your own paragraph from a prompt. 

Use a chart to write a paragraph from a writing prompt. 
Lesson 3:
Gathering Information and Facts vs Opinions
 How to gather information for an essay.
How to spot bad information versus good information.
Being safe online
What is the difference between fact and opinion?
How to use fact in an essay?
The role of opinions in an essay?


Gather facts and information from reliable sources and brain storm your opinion from a writing prompt that you will use in the next lesson to write a short essay. 
Lesson 4:
Writing an essay. Introduction, Body and Conclusions
 What are introduction, body and conclusions paragraphs?
What should be included in each type of paragraph?
Writing a one page essay with an introduction, body and conclusion from a prompt.

Writing a 5 paragraph essay from a prompt using the tools given in the lesson.

Hello, I'm Greg Flanders and I am so excited to meet you! I graduated with a Bachelor's degree from Geneva College in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania. I have been working with both children and teenagers for over fifteen years as a coach and educator. I have over 8 years of experience teaching dynamic classes in an online classroom. I use to hold credentials through the State of Ohio Department of Education (expired). I have a variety of interest and enjoy sharing those interests with my students. I love when students overcome their struggles to learn something new. It brings me joy to be a part of it.

Hello! I’m Micaiah and I have been studying martial arts for 11 years. I am a black belt in Taekwondo. I look forward to providing engaging martial arts classes.
