Description
Class Experience
Students will learn the Basis essay steps: 1. Purpose of your essay 2. Writing your draft 3. Polishing your essay for higher marks Students will be taught background work to be done in order to write an essay quickly and thoroughly, formatting and critical thinking skills, and then how to polish an essay so it gets a higher grade. Students will choose a topic they are passionate about and then one which they are not interested in to discover how to write about a difficult topic. Students can create a funny, mysterious, technical or other style of essay to make the essay writing class a lot of fun. Interactive, sample essays and ideas, and how to turn your essay into a longer piece.
I have been teaching children and teens for decades and have taught over 5,000 English classes the past three years. I obtained a GPA of 4.0 on my second masters degree and am now working on my PhD dissertation. Writing hundreds of pages of essays and research papers and will help the learners build their essays with excllenc.
1 file available upon enrollmentWriting device for each student is needed (table, phone, p, or writing paper and pen) and access to other tabs during class to look up words and definitions/synonyms.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Each student will share/read their work in class. Peer evaluation and teacher comments for three areas of one piece of their writing will take place in class (Sentence structure, argument thread, and formatting).
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
