No prior experience necessary in order to create these adorable cupcakes! I'll show you, step-by-step how to create the campfire, pie and tie-dye themed cupcakes. As I decorate my cupcakes, you'll be decorating your own at home. We’ll explore how the size of the hole in the baggie corresponds to the thickness of our frosting. We’ll work on using different parts of our hands at the same time, so that our frosting goes where it’s intended. We’ll work on developing the eye hand coordination to create a great looking cupcake.
Learning Goals
We will learn how to use a baggie as a frosting bag. We will review color mixing as we make our fire frosting and the tie-dyed frosting bag. We will learn how the small details are what help to express our theme through decorating. At the end of class, you'll have 12 beautiful cupcakes to share with your family.
Other Details
Parental Guidance
The children will be using a butter knife and scissors. If your child requires supervision when using these tools, please provide that. Please only use cupcakes, frostings and food colorings that your child isn’t allergic to.
