This is a fun social class in which learners will work together to solve Easter themed word searches. As we solve the puzzles together, group discussion will be encouraged. Come and have fun searching and chatting together.

The word searches will be screen shared, by the teacher, in the Zoom chat. All learners will be able to annotate the screen, highlighting words as they find them. Everyone will work on the same word search collaboratively, allowing plenty of opportunities for group discussion. Please note - unfortunately the annotate feature does not work on some devices, notably Chromebooks, if you access the class on a Chromebook or other unsupported device you will have to raise your hand when you find a word so that I can highlight it for you.

If any learners struggle to find a word, then we will discuss techniques for more efficient searching techniques. There are two prepared levels of puzzle difficulty. If learners successfully solve both easier puzzles, then the group will move onto larger puzzles. The number of puzzles completed during the class will depend on the number of learners enrolled and their prior experience at solving word searches. 

The word searches are made using lowercase letters, learners should already know some of the English letter names or sounds. The words we will be searching for are focused on the secular and not religious celebration of Easter, all learners are welcome to come and join in, regardless if they celebrate Easter.

There is no need to print anything for this class as we will annotate on the screen.
