Join us for story time to read the classic, “There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Chick,” and have your learner work on their vocabulary, sequencing and listening comprehension!

Class Experience

Please join us for our an Easter themed story time! We will be listening to “There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed A Chick" by Lucille Colandro. Students will be asked to label core vocabulary words when shown individual pictures prior to starting the story. After listening to the story, students will participate in short activities to increase their expressive vocabulary, work on formulating grammatically correct sentences, and respond to comprehension questions. Students will be required to...

Student will: 
- Display understanding of and label Easter themed vocabulary.
- Formulate simple grammatically correct sentences (e.g., “The egg is colorful”).
- Increase comprehension by responding to wh-questions and yes/no questions.

Additional materials will be provided to further extend the lesson into your home

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
