Easter STEAM Project : Making an Easter Bunny Trap
Class experience
Learn to public speak. After a quick Ice-breaker activity, and a brief introduction to the infamous Easter Bunny and Easter traditions, learners will have an opportunity hear a story and then build their own Easter Bunny traps with any art supplies they already have at home (supply ideas provided) for a few minutes, before presenting their work to each other, if comfortable. They will practice working independently on their traps, while discussing with the teacher and each other ways to trap...
Students will be able to plan, and build their own Easter Bunny traps while using their imaginations and creativity with any materials they have available. They will learn to take turns speaking out loud to each other about their creations while having fun.
Prior to class, please find art supplies to have during the class that you feel is appropriate to use. Students will be creating a trap in 15-20 minutes with anything they already have and can use found around the house. Materials include, and are not limited to, building blocks, straws, colored construction papers, popsicle sticks, cotton balls, toilet paper rolls, magnetic tiles, markers, colored pencils, kid-friendly glue, scissors (younger children need to be supervised), shoebox, boxes, leaves, plastic cups, utensils, strings, rubber bands, plastic bottles, jelly beans, candy, fake grass, cardboard boxes, strings, carrots, ...and etc.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
We will be reading an Easter bunny related story in class (to be determined).
