In this one time class, modern Easter customs will be discussed through history, math, and science. The main history of customs tied to Easter will be explored - how did the Easter bunny, chocolate, and eggs become customary to Easter? We will look at the math on whether or not an Easter bunny can lay enough eggs. The science of dying Easter eggs and how to make chocolate will be covered. We will end our class with making an origami Easter basket! This will be a fun interactive class. ...
Learners will be engaged in learning all about Easter - from fun history facts to science of dying eggs and making chocolate to actually making an origami Easter basket!
There is no homework in this course.
Some paper and scissors will be handy if the learner would like to make an origami basket. I will provide a printout to have a square paper already prepared, but we can do this during class too.
There is no assessment in this course.
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
