Easter Bunny Storytime S.T.E.M. Challenge - Socializing and Critical Thinking
Students will use their creative skills to build with Easter candy, make estimations and predictions, and grow in their problem-solving skills! We will also have storytime, singing, and time for drawing Easter patterns.

Class Experience
This is an Easter STEM Challenge and storytime class combined into a 45 minute class full of FUN! Using candy, plastic Easter eggs, play-doh, and toothpicks, students will strategize and learn how to build towers and stack items high. This class will encourage creativity, as well as bolster critical thinking skills. The students will enjoy seeing how their classmates are building as well. Supply List: Peeps or another similar candy toothpicks jelly beans or another similar candy Play-doh plastic Easter eggs or something similar paper, pencil, and crayons for sketching ideas and making patterns any show and tell items the students would like to show (Easter book, favorite bunny toy, special candy) **Parental Guidance** Play-doh may contain wheat, which could cause an allergic reaction if ingested in those sensitive to wheat, gluten, or with Celiac disease.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
The stories I've selected for storytime are How to Catch the Easter Bunny, by: Adam Wallace and Andy Elkerton, and Easter Bunny School, by: R.I. Redd. Students are welcome to bring these books to class if they have them, but it is not required. I'll be screen sharing them.
