Teacher expertise and credentials
I am a former classroom educator that now works in developing instructional curricula for math and science. I have 20 years of experience teaching environmental STEM, with a focus on pollinator education. I have worked with 30+ schools to create and install pollinator gardens that support the needs of all pollinators. Throughout the year I travel to schools, libraries, YMCA locations, scout events, and more, to teach audiences of all ages about the benefits of pollinators, native plants, and environmental conservation. As a beekeeper, I have years of firsthand experience raising and caring for honey bees. I enjoy sharing my beekeeping experiences with students of all ages and engaging students' curiosity in beekeeping.
