I was previously licensed by the State of Oregon to teach health and science in middle and high school. I have homeschooled my own children for nearly 12 years, and have been teaching online for the past 3 years.
Homework Offered

1 - 2 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Learners will self-correct homework. A scoring rubric will be available for the final presentation. Optional Certificate of Completion - Please let the teacher know you would like a Completion Certificate at the start of the course. The learner should turn in all assignments under the Teacher Tab after we correct them in class.
Grades Offered
Lecture note taking guide should be printed prior to class. Learners should keep this in their Science Journal (if they keep one) to refer back to. Learners should have general school supplies available.
****Please note, class must meet minimum enrollment to run. Class will be canceled the day prior if minimum enrollment is not met. Enrollment numbers determines class length as all learners will be given the opportunity to speak and interact, fewer learners means we need less time. This adjustment will be made after the first week if necessary.

****Outschool advises parental consent to use some of the educational resources selected for further learning. No account is needed. Please review the resources prior to enrollment.
National Science Education Standards and Colorado Department of Education State Science Standards are used as a guide for this course. Material from various middle school texts, as well as YouTube videos and government websites combine to complete this course.
