Students will engaged in crafts to continue to develop fine motor skills. Students will also explore and problem solve with some related STEM projects. Key focus areas include: a history of when Earth Day began, the focus of Earth Day, some planet Earth fun facts, discussions about recycling, natural resources, endangered species, writing an Acrostic poem, discussing one's footprint on the Earth, and math skills graphic activity. Construction paper one sheet of each-blue, green, brown, black, skin shade, and two of any other color choice. Glue, scissors, about 1 cup of bird seed, 2 Tablespoons of peanut butter or 1 Tablespoon of honey, ribbon or string, about 20 rubber bands, and about 10-12 empty plastic water bottles. Cost of camp adjusted understanding cost of needed supplies.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
