Description
Class Experience
Students will be able to: - Ask and answer questions about Greta Thunberg and climate change - Use story details and illustrations to describe characters and events - Relate the story to real-world situations - Define new vocabulary in a text - Practice discussion techniques in a safe and monitored setting
I am a certified classroom teacher with experience teaching about climate change from a sociological, scientific, and research-based standpoint.
All curriculum will be provided by the teacher. Students will not need to print or access any other material. Occasionally, a follow-up Youtube video will be sent to learners.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Learners will be informally assessed through questioning techniques throughout and at the end of each class
35 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Younger students may need technical assistance or parent supervision during class.
