Earth Day: An Investigation Into Climate Change
Class experience
Do you have a learner that’s obsessed with the environment? If so, this may be the perfect class for them! It’s that time of the year where we can all reflect on and appreciate the planet we know best: Earth! In this class we are going to focus specifically on climate change and its effect on organisms and their environments. This means traveling the world and looking at all the different types of environments! We will investigate which types of biomes are more prone to having heavy effects...
By the end of the class students will know how the major shifts in climates effect environments and organisms around the world.
Students may need colored pencils and access to a printer so they can print off the worksheet. The PDF copy can also be downloaded digitally to be done on an iPad, laptop, or desktop computer using a drawing app. I will be using a digital drawing app to demonstrate how to fill out the maps.
The goal for this class is to inform students on how shifts in climates can affect environments and organisms. This information is purely scientific and will not be discussed in context to any politics or persons.
Hi there! I am Ms. Walker and in my class I believe in teaching science to the interest of the learner! It’s all about creating a connection, establishing confidence, and getting creative when it comes to the various topics science has to offer!...
