Earth, a Perfect Planet for Us - An Astronomy Perspective - Semi Private

We'll cover what makes Earth so special, unique and irreplaceable, all from an astronomical perspective. Learner will be introduced to concepts such as various atmospheres, speed of light & light year, greenhouse gases, exoplanets and more, all while celebrating Earth. A perfect class for Earth Day.

Class Experience

The goal of this class is for Learners to discover how marvelous planet Earth is by understanding, through a simple introduction, its many complexities within the larger universe, laying the foundations for basic varied astronomical concepts.
Ph. D. in Astrophysics - Astrophysics/Astronomy Communicator/Educator/Adjunct at the San Diego University volunteering on a number of community projects that promote a mindful STEAM curriculum.  I also homeschool my three children, and I am personally active internationally offering workshops to both children, adults and teachers.
Pen, pencil or colors, and paper.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.

I love combining the world of science with the world of self discovery. Therefore, I love allowing students to arrive to the conclusions themselves as much as possible, because this is where true learning and understanding happens.
