We will sing songs, play games and explore the 7 continents and 5 oceans of the world.

Class Experience

This class will include fun activities that help children learn about the seven continents and 5 oceans.  We will sing a continent and oceans song and learn actions to the song.  The students will explore where each continent and ocean on a map and then dive into each continent and ocean.  The student will learn about the animals that live on the continent, the size of the continent, and a few facts about the continents it could be the weather, famous landmarks, or famous natural...

The objectives for this class are to learn the 7 continents and 5 oceans and where they are located, be able to name a few animals from each continent, and some facts about each continent.  We will practice map skills in class that will help achieve these objectives.

I have taught history for over 22 years. I have taught several different types of classrooms with my classroom being as small as one to a classroom of as many as 50 to a classroom. I have taught several subject matters of history and geography.  I enjoy teaching younger children and encouraging them to learn history and geography.

There is no homework for this class.

There is no assessment for this class.

25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
