Class Experience
The research has shown, phonological awareness is critical for learning to READ any alphabetic writing system (Ehri, 2004; Rath, 2001; Troia, 2004). This weekly class is all about phonological awareness with special focus on the sounds: /m, b, y, n, w, t, d, p, h, k, g, f, v s, z, sh, ch, th, r/. I have a Master's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Florida and am a licensed speech language pathologist in the state of Florida. I have 2 1/2 years experience working with children in elementary school.
