In this early reading phonics class, we will use chants to go over the vowel sounds (a, e, i, o, u). There will be 2 engaging CVC word activities:
-practice sounding out and blending out CVC words and then read a sentence. 
-practice spelling a CVC word and then read a sentence.
For the remainder of time, we will play games to reinforce reading CVC words. 
This class is great for homeschool or after school. 

Learners should be able to:
-recognize the consonant and vowel letters 
-know letter sounds especially short vowel sounds
-have letter writing skills 
-basic sight word fluency

Learning Goals
Through chants, the learners will identify short vowel sounds.
Learners will decode and blend CVC words using a graphic organizer.
Learners will use finger tapping to blend all sounds in CVC words.
Learners will practice reading, spelling, and writing CVC words.

Parental Guidance
The lessons will be created on Google Jamboard and/or Google Slides in which I will share my screen with the learners. The learners won't need an account to engage in the lessons.
Supply List
(OPTIONAL) I will upload an activity packet that goes along with the class

-You can use loose paper/notebook or dry eraser board and markers.
-You can use the annotation on Zoom (if you know how to use it).
-You can use the chat feature
