In this multi-day class, we will build early reading and writing skills by practicing to blend and segment CVC words. We will also learn sight words which will build vocabulary for reading. This class will also allow for students to meet new friends and build social skills as well. Songs, rhymes, stories, props, games and other tools may be used in the class to enhance the learning experience. The student will build early reading skills by blending and reading CVC words. The student will build early writing skills by segmenting CVC words and spell CVC words.
I have years of experience teaching literacy skills in the elementary school. I have a Master's in Reading and have taken many professional development courses to continue my craft in providing effective instruction that helps students achieve goals and become successful learners. More than anything, I am just a person who cares and wants children to feel successful and accomplished in their learning.
