In this one time course, students will learn how Europe looked in the early Middle Ages. It will examine Feudalism and the growth of western kingdoms under the reign of leaders like Charlemagne. We also focus on the role of the Vikings.

This course will be delivered through PowerPoint presentation. It is a fun learning environment where students are encouraged to ask questions. This course will begin with the evolution of law and government during this time then it will explore conquerors such as Alfred the Great, Charlamagne & the Vikings. It will end with a detailed look into the system of feudalism and the role that everyone played in this system. Students will get the opportunity at the end to compare medieval life to the present day.
