In this ongoing class students will learn early math skills intended for late preschool and kindergarten level learners. My goal is to make learning fun for all students. I use a variety of activities to engage all students. The students will use different manipulatives, worksheets, games, songs, and action activities to understand and learn math concepts. On occasion the student will be asked to bring something to class. All items will be able to be found around the home. They will include things like pencils, cereal, buttons, candy, construction paper, paper clips, a ruler, and graham crackers. I will give advance notice and a variety of options so that purchasing items would not be necessary.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
