Learning Goals

The student will learn and practice letter names and sounds, onset consonant blends, ending consonant blends, short and long vowel sounds, vowel teams, beginning sounds, middle sounds, ending sounds, rhyming, open syllables, closed syllables, and syllabication patterns of multi-syllabic words. These skills will improve reading and spelling skills in early readers.

The student will also develop their understanding of numbers and quantities through fun number puzzles and games that help students recognize the pattern of numbers in base ten and learn to subitize. We will also spend time developing foundational skills for algebraic thinking by working on beginning addition and subtraction skills.
