Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi, my name is Mrs. Miller and I'm so glad you're here!
I've been teaching 1st-3rd grade in the classroom for 9 years. I'm most passionate about literacy instruction and strongly believe that a strong literacy foundation sets children up for success in life. Although a love of reading can blossom for any child, the research shows that children do not just learn to read through exposure. I'm a big advocate for following the Science of Reading research and have an Orton-Gillingham Dyslexia certification.
I live in Rhode Island (the smallest state in the U.S) with my husband, our two kids, and our cats, Selene & Sol.
I can't wait to see you in class!
