Description

Class Experience

In this ongoing course, students will practice sight words, decoding, fluency, comprehension, and writing skills in a guided reading group. This class is similar to guided reading instruction in a school setting. I am a former first grade teacher and licensed Reading Specialist. Each week we will read a different level H or I book. We will read digital books from Flyleaf Publishing or Reading A-Z. Book titles will depend upon the needs of the students. Level H & I students are typically in...

I was a classroom teacher for seven years. I taught first grade for five years and second grade for two years. I have my Bachelors in Early Childhood Education and my Masters in Reading Education. I am a licensed Reading Specialist and have Orton-Gillingham training.
