NEW SECTION STARTING 2/24 at 2 PM CST. WELCOME TO SCIENCE: Learn a year's worth of science with me, your certified teacher and lover of all things science! ONGOING SECTIONS DO NOT BUILD; FEEL FREE TO START AND STOP AS YOUR SCHEDULE PERMITS. Classes will recycle back to the beginning once the entire course is completed. I teach multiple sections of this class. If you would like to know what unit and week a certain section is on, please message me. I usually respond within a few hours. We will dive into a year's worth of science lessons, in this weekly ongoing class. This class is perfect for kindergarten - 3rd grade homeschool lessons. My teaching style is play-based, and I aim to incorporate as many of the five senses into each lesson. So, your little learner will be engaged, creating, exploring, and having so much fun they will never know they are doing "work". Supplies: Each week you will receive supplies list the Sunday prior to class beginning. Supplies are almost always common items we all have around the house. Additionally, you will have a weekly packet to print out. If there is an issue with printing or supplies one week, message me. I will do my best to find a "Plan B". I demonstrate all activities, so they can always watch me if you don't have time to gather supplies. Unit 1: Science, Scientist, and My 5 Senses Week 1: What is Science and What does a Scientist do? Other Details
Supply List
At least 48 hours prior to class beginning, you will be given a class packet. The packet contains worksheets for the week, along with any needed supplies. I do my best to use household supplies, so no need to run to the store to complete class. If you are out of something or can't print one week, please message me. I will do my best to figure out a plan B. If you enroll after the packet is posted Sunday, please message me and I will get the packet to you.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Sources
Class content is created by the teacher. Each class will include a class packet for the week. I am a certified elementary teacher, and I have many years of experience teaching. I create my packets to meet and exceed the grade level standards; my goal is to create fun, engaging, yet rigorous material. You student will learn, but will have a great time doing it.
