It will closely parallel concepts and skills necessary to increase fluency with musical notation and the development of musical memory and inner hearing. Each student will have an opportunity to develop their basic skills through melodic and rhythmic exercises in every lesson. Upon completion, the following class would be 𝐄𝐚𝐫-𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠: 𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐜 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭-𝐒𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 (𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝟒). Improvement of aural skills will be achieved through the following activities 1. Sight-Singing 2. Rhythmic Dictation 3. Melodic Dictation 4. Harmonic Dictation 5. Basic Musician Skills 6. Learning Goals
Students will learn to listen to short melodies and write them down using musical notes by the end of the course.
Students will be able to hear and recognize common chords and progressions in music, identifying them by ear.

Learners will continue to work on exercises and assignments that will require them to change between the treble, alto, tenor, and bass clef. They will continue their work in reading and changing clefs through different exercises and assignments provided by the instructor through singing and playing.
