"EA, EE, IE, EY, and Y"... Lots of Ways to Spell Long "E"
Class experience
US Grade 1 - 2
In this class students will start their class by bringing objects to class that are spelled using "ea, ee, ie, ey, and y"; they will take turns giving their classmates clues about what they have brought to class. We will then sort the words according to the different digraphs; students will spend time reading, spelling, and identifying the different digraphs. I will spend some of the class teaching lecture style; students will also be given opportunity to play games and answer questions....
Students should bring one or two objects to class to share with their classmates; the objects should be spelled with "ea, ee, ie, ey, or y". (i.e. key, money, something green,) Whiteboard/Paper Marker/Pencil/Crayon that can be easily read.
