Every learner is unique—so is this class! Tailored for ages 9–12, this 50-minute session uses the renowned Barton program, built on the principles of the Orton-Gillingham approach, to provide personalized support and measurable progress. What They’ll Learn: Phonemic awareness, decoding, spelling, and fluency skills tailored to their tested level. Structured, multisensory strategies to overcome reading challenges with confidence. Tools to foster mastery and independent reading through consistent, research-based methods. Class Structure: Warm-Up: Engaging activity or review to set the tone. Main Lesson: Instruction using the Barton Reading and Spelling Program, adapted to each child’s level and needs. Cool-Down: Progress check and goal-setting for next session. Why This Class? This class follows the Barton Reading and Spelling Program, a research-based, structured literacy method developed from the well-respected Orton-Gillingham approach, which is proven to support students with dyslexia. Each child begins at their assessed level, progressing through lessons that build foundational reading and spelling skills. To achieve the best results, this class requires a minimum commitment of two sessions per week. This frequency is essential to ensure the repetition and consistency needed to rewire the dyslexic brain for reading success and long-term retention. Sign up today and give your child the tools they need to thrive as a confident, capable reader through structured, consistent support!
