Dynamic Tutoring (English) Section 1 - Middle School or High School Students

With over 15 years of public and homeschooling English education experience, I realized that some parents just needed a trusted class that can help their student learn a new technique or get through a tough spot and this is that class.

Description

Class Experience

This class is taught in English.
Students will improve and strengthen current English academic skills while developing new ones.
Because this is an affordable ongoing class, parents may book several sessions and in that scenario, students will need to complete some skill work on their own outside of tutoring time and submit it for my review before the next class meeting.

If the parents book only one class, then there will not be any outside work that needs to be completed and a learning log will not be provided.
Learners will need the following items for this class:
1. A Gmail email account. This type of email account works best for the different online programs I use, such as google classroom, to operate my class.
2. Prior to class meetings, preferably 24 hours before class starts, student or parents will need to email me what topics they want me to review in class otherwise I'm just guessing and our time together may not be as effective.
3. Students must be fully prepared to participate in class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Because this is not a formal English class, there will not be a formal grade assigned. Student, parent and teacher will need to chart skill progression for multiple sessions.
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.

About Me

Greetings. My name is David Libby and I am a homeschooling father of five that has taught in the public schools for the last 12 years. So to be honest, my wife has done the majority of the schooling at home; I'm just the principal.
