Learners will learn how to multiply decimals. First, we will multiply regularly using the standard algorithm, the area model, lattice, line method, or expanded form. Then we will use the "scoops method" to place the decimal point in the answer. We will practice problems both together and individually. I will use the whiteboard on Zoom to present the material to the learners. The learners can use a notebook or the whiteboard on Zoom for practice. Students can ask questions for clarification.
Homework will not be assigned.
Learners will be assessed using informal assessment (practice problems on his/her own).
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
