Class Experience

What does a President do? What are his duties and responsibilities?  

We will cover where the President gets his authority, what he does on a day-to-day basis, and how the President exercises that authority. 
The class will be a lecture with interactive elements. I teach by using stories of past Presidents and how they've used the power of one of the most powerful jobs in the world. We'll use slides, some games, and a lot of discussion. 

No prior experience or knowledge is needed to take...

Students will learn: 
The duties and responsibilities of the U.S. President. 
How the U.S. President interacts with the other branches of government. 
How other branches of government check the power of the U.S. President. 
How past Presidents have exercised their authority.

No homework is needed.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
