Class Experience

Do you love Dungeons and Dragons? Can't get enough of talking about what your characters do on their adventures? Want to get together with other like-minded players to brainstorm and chat about the game and your character's antics? In this class, we'll be doing just that!

In this weekly club, learners ages 11-16 will be able to socialize with like-minded peers about all things Dungeons and Dragons! We will begin class by introducing ourselves and telling the class about our characters, campaigns and D&D experience. I currently DM several games both on Outschool and for fun, as well as participate in 3 different games as a player character each week so I have plenty of stories and fun to share with your learners.

The classes will follow a different format every week since we are focused on socialization and having fun. I will prompt the class with ice breaker questions and also begin conversation with the latest news and updates, such as upcoming events. Each session we will focus on a different conversation topic as a starting point with the discussion being largely learner led. I will guide the class with several conversation prompts and questions, as well as offer weekly advice for player characters and dungeon masters. Learners may come to class dressed in costume if they want to. Comfy, normal clothes are also welcomed!

Time permitting, we may have social game activities and they will vary class to class. This is because learners will be focused on socialization, sharing common interests, and sharing any of their art, costumes, characters and collections in a safe environment. I will follow the energy and flow of the students to help encourage a positive and fun space.

This will be a very comfortable and low-pressure environment where young Dungeons & Dragons enthusiasts can feel safe sharing their ideas and interests. It will help them improve social skills and create friendships. All fans are welcomed in this on-going class! Basic knowledge of Dungeons & Dragons is encouraged but not required.

All your student needs is a computer and a love all things fantasy!

Because of the discussion and gaming nature of this course, class will be cancelled if we do not meet the 2 learner minimum requirement.
