Description
Class Experience
A specific social skill will be taught and focused on during every session. Social skills will be chosen both on what group leader feels would be helpful and input from parents (if desired). Learners will be encouraged to practice skill both in and out of session and process their use of the skill at the end of each session.
Kelsey is a licensed clinical counselor in the state of Wisconsin over 12 years of experience working with adolescents with mental and behavioral health concerns. Pat is a Mental Health Professional in Wisconsin with over 8 years of experience working with adolescents with mental and behavioral health concerns.
Learners will be encouraged to utilize newly acquired social skill throughout the week and relay how they used it and if they found it effective. Learners will be given feedback on their use.
None needed but may want purchase a set of polyhedral dice.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Dungeons and Dragons involves in-game magic, spells, and potential violence towards the enemies. Our role as teachers/DMs is to ensure that the entertainment factor is appropriate to the age level present.
