Students will learn teamwork, collaborative storytelling, improvisation and practice basic math and problem-solving skills through the lens of an exciting and engaging game of dungeons and dragons by taking on the roles of adventuring heroes pitted against an array of cunning and proactive foes. Some basic knowledge of dungeons and dragons is helpful, but not required to participate in this class. I have a degree in English and Textual Studies from Syracuse University, a master's degree in Elementary Education, and have played in and run D&D games for 30+ years.
1 hour 25 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Game will contain descriptions of fantasy violence.
This game uses Roll20 as a virtual tabletop. It is free to use for players, learners will be expected to make an account on the site where their character information will be kept.
