Beginner Level
Step into a world of creativity, collaboration, and adventure in this ongoing Dungeons & Dragons adventure designed for players of all experience levels. We'll explore mysterious lands, solve puzzles, battle monsters, and uncover secrets. Whether you’re a newcomer or an experienced player, you’ll find a place in this epic, evolving tale that grows with you and your fellow adventurers. This group is SUPER easy to join. My play style actively adapts the rules to each player, ensuring a consistent level of comfort with the mechanics of the game that scales with each player's familiarity with the game. As players progress and get more comfortable, we scale challenges and rules based on the skills and experience of the group, keeping the action engaging and fresh. Among other things, you’ll learn and practice role-playing, storytelling, and creative problem-solving. Feel free to join the adventure anytime. While each session builds upon the last, we are always open for new players to join the game. A unique approach to character integration allows new students to seamlessly join the ongoing campaign, providing a dynamic and inclusive gaming experience. When new students join, we start the session with character introductions, and as the Dungeon Master, I weave the new character's story into the existing narrative, allowing new players to seamlessly integrate into the party. We are a supportive and welcoming community of fellow adventurers, where existing players actively engage with new participants, fostering an environment where everyone feels included and valued.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Master's Degree from George Washington University
Hello! Language nerd, history buff, culture geek -- whatever you call it, that's me! I'm obsessed with how people connect and what brings us together. I examine history, literature, language, travel, food and everything human, looking for the personal stories hidden between the lines and the social narratives lurking in the broader context. I love it, and I can't wait to share it with you.
A sample of the kinds of classes I teach:
D&D Adventures
Ancient History
Star Wars
Introductory Spanish
Spanish for Travelers
Speech Writing & Public Speaking
I am a former public relations professional with a masters in PR and bachelor's degrees in Spanish and theatre. In Washington, DC I honed my writing craft while working in think tanks to lead congressional relations teams, polling research programs and bilingual outreach initiatives. I did a little speech writing too. While earning BAs in Spanish, Portuguese and Theatre at the University of Texas, I pursued myriad interdisciplinary interests, minoring in French, Astronomy and History. Currently I have a niche interest and expertise in Classical Antiquity, particularly the geopolitical and military history of Mesopotamia, Greece and Rome. This has guided my current course of study and inspired the majority of classes I teach on Outschool.
