Let's play the most popular fantasy role-playing game, Dungeons & Dragons! In the Dungeons & Dragons Adventure for New Players: Into the Borderlands! class, our heroes delved into the Caves of Chaos to destroy an evil temple. Now our stalwart band will venture deep into the depths of the earth to fight even more foul creatures! The Onyx Depths mine has been a small but rich source of ore for years. However, something has happened and there is no more ore flowing from the mine. Several miners have gone missing. There are stories of outlandish and abnormal creatures crawling from the mine to terrorize the nearby land. It will take a fearless (or foolhardy) group to delve into the madness that lies Under the Earth! In this 6 week class, the learners will take the D&D characters they created in the Into the Borderlands class and continue their adventures. They will find horrible monsters, fabulous treasure, and magnificent adventure! If you have not taken my Dungeons & Dragons Adventure for New Players: Into the Borderlands! class CONTACT ME BEFORE CLASS BEGINS! We will work together to create a 3rd Level character using the D&D Basic rules. Only the classes and races from the D&D Basic rules (found free on the Wizards of the Coast website) will be permitted. You will receive a copy of the rules when you enroll in this class. Class 1: Our adventurer's find the recently abandoned mine and encounter some of the abominable creatures that crawl from its depths. Class 2: The heroes enter the mine to track down some lost miners. Class 3: As the party travels deeper to unravel the mystery of the mine, the creatures get stranger and the peril increases! Class 4: Getting through a mine can be dangerous at the best of times. How much more dangerous when you are beset on all sides! Class 5: The PC's find evidence that there has been more than simple mining taking place deep within the earth. Class 6: Our heroes discover the truth! But will their very sanity be the price? This adventure is very open, so the characters will need to use teamwork and their decision making skills to determine what actions they take. In this adventure choices and decisions have consequences, so the direction of the adventure will depend on the character's actions. We will also be using math, reading, creative thinking, reasoning, and problem solving skills to defeat the vile creatures found in the mines! Throughout the following weeks we will take these characters on an adventure to prove their bravery and skill! The Adventure Continues...!

I've been a puppeteer on feature films, tv shows, and videos throughout my 30+ year career. I have toured internationally with Walking with Dinosaurs-the Arena Spectacular for the past 11 years. Currently I own a company that tours throughout the Southeast.

I'm a huge fan of games, especially role-playing games! Playing a role playing game can improve skills like math, reading, comprehension, team work, and creative problem solving.
Students learn better when they are in an environment where they want to learn. Using puppetry and games, I've been able to educate students of all ages on a variety of topics. In fact, puppetry and games can be used to teach any subject under the sun!
