This is a home-brewed, short adventure, designed for both entertainment and skills building in Dungeons & Dragons. It focuses on critical thinking, teamwork, improvisational storytelling, narration, and role-playing. This is part 3 of my "Introduction to Dungeons & Dragons: Against the Goblin King!" adventure. It is not necessary to have completed that adventure in order to participate in this one, though it might be preferable. The learner should have a general understanding of D&D and...
Students will learn the value of teamwork, critical thinking, and will sharpen their skills with D&D game mechanics.
I have been playing D&D since I was 7 years old and it has been a huge part of my life. I loved the game from the first time I played and that love has only grown over the years. I'm a professional Dungeon Master and have a series of classes to both learn and run the game. I use the best tools available to make the game as fun and entertaining as possible. I'm patient, engaging, focused, and skilled at improvisation and storytelling. I'm dedicated to making this class an excellent experience.
Students should spend some time creating their characters and getting ready for the adventure. Knowing how to use their skills, abilities, and spells will be very helpful.
You should be prepared with your dice or dice roller, character sheet and any resources you need to navigate the game.
1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
There will be scenes of simulated combat through the D&D rules. There will be no objectionable material or content, otherwise.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses D&D Beyond.
