Class Experience

New players will learn how to play Dungeons and Dragons by playing the Spelljammer: Adventures in Space the newest DnD adventure module. Players with experience will still find a challenging and rewarding experience. We will use the free site roll20.net to play our adventure. I will post a link to the specific Roll20 game for each class. Theses links are specific only to students signed up for my classes and are completely private. I will be the Dungeon Master (the person who facilitates the game and ensures fair play. In the beginning of the first class I will go over the basic rules of Dungeons and Dragons and then revisit those rules whenever necessary. As the game progresses the following topic will be taught; team work, team building, public speaking, reasoning, critical thinking, math, problem solving, research skills and much more. Trust me your kid will have so much fun they won't even realize they are learning important life skills.

Learners can expect challenging situations in every session that will push them to use the skills I mentioned above.

The first session will cover the basics of the game, choosing a premade character, reading the character sheet, public speaking (each student will introduce themselves and their character.
The second session will cover adventuring and gear, combat and actions taken.
The third session will cover how to interact with NPCs (non player characters).
The fourth session will cover more adventuring, combat and how to properly interact as a team.
The fifth session will cover using teamwork to defeat a boss.
The sixth session will cover character stats and researching.
The seventh session will cover using critical thinking in playing the game.
The 8th session will cover all of the above sessions in a more advanced setting (creatures will be harder to defeat and students must use all the skills learned previously to defeat them).
All other sessions will include fine tuning the above skills.

With all sessions your student will have fun and learn/hone many life skills.
