In this ongoing class students will play DnD 5e with a science fiction twist with the latest Spelljammer expansion rules. They will solve problems, make friends, fight enemies as they travel across the reaches of space.
Class experience
In this ongoing class we will move through a classic Dungeons and Dragons Game with a science fiction twist. This is an ongoing class so students can enter and leave the game at any time. I have played Dungeons and Dragons since I was in high school back in the 80's. Last year I became a professional game master and I have over 100 positive reviews on StartPlaying.games. I have also been a high school science teacher for 13 years.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
AboveVTT is a google extension that allows students to see maps and roll dice as if we were at a real table. If they have a DnD Beyond account the AboveVTT will integrate with that account to allow them to move tokens and roll dice directly from their character sheet. A DnD Beyond account is encouraged but not necessary. Students without a Dnd Beyond Account will print out a character sheet and will then access maps from the screen share on Zoom. Dungeons and Dragons is a fantasy game that includes monsters and cartoon fantasy violence.
