In this semester long course of 8 weeks students will partake the the D&D campaign Sinister Spire. Set in the depths below the town of Kingsholm and their mausoleum students characters will search for the remains of the Forgotten King and his companions. I will run the class as the Dungeon Master (DM) and will lead the story and keep the campaign on track. I will go over character creation for students, as well as remind students of rules through out game play. I maintain a safe space for students to enjoy Dungeons and Dragons while building team building skills, math concepts, character creation, and public speaking to name a few. Students may benefit from having a Player's Handbook nearby. I do use D&D Beyond as a resource to help with character creation and managing equipment. Week 1: Character Creation/team building/introduction to the storyline Week 2-8: team building, storyline and game play. *While there is combat in D&D I do keep things at a PG-13 rating with no sensual content. The schedule is subject to change based on group dynamics. This is the 2nd book to The Barrow of the Forgotten King, while it is a continuation new players are welcome to join in the adventures of D&D. I have permission from Wizards of the Coast to use content within their fanfiction guidelines.

Supply List
I will provide assistance with D&D Beyond, and have digital character sheets for those that need access. Students will need either a set of dice or an online dice rolling app.

Thank you for your interest in my classes and in me. I have my Bachelor's of Art: Fine Art from Florida Gulf Coast University, go Eagles! After four years of teaching visual arts and three years of teaching online, I am excited for every opportunity to teach young learners and help them grow. My classroom is one that is open and friendly, accepting of everyone regardless of skill level or knowledge, promotes creativity, and inspires learners to continue to learn. I love that "aha" moment when something we are learning clicks and a students eyes light up.
I am open to creating classes to meet the needs of students. Share your excitement and ideas! I love all medium: drawing, painting, sculpting, fiber arts and digital design. I also love cooking from scratch.
I try to tie in the history of the arts as I teach so that it builds a background for what we are learning. If we are learning about Surrealism, we might digitally travel to Spain and learn about the history of Salvador Dali and tour his museum. Then we will create a dream journal and our own artistic creations based on the style of the movement. I want my classes to inspire students of all ages to create.
I have always had a passion for the arts, traveling and gaming. I have been a gamer and have enjoyed tabletop games like GURPS and D&D, as well as online platforms like World of Warcraft and Asheron's Call.
