What's included

1 live meeting
2 in-class hours per week
Homework
Players will need to make a character before their first game and will occasionally need to level up between sessions.

Class Experience

Take to the skies on your own airship as you explore a world made entirely of floating islands above the clouds.

In this handcrafted D&D adventure

We will be playing a handcrafted, exploration based, D&D adventure where the players will decide as a group the stories they would like to follow. Players will be members of a crew on an airship. You will explore uncharted skies, discover hidden treasures, and contend with air pirates. The theme of this campaign is adventure.

Players who join on the first session will start at level 4, and players who join as the campaign goes on will join at the party's current level. (No flying characters please, this could be earned later)

This class is driven by the players. Each week the party will choose as a group where they go and follow the adventures that they find most exciting or interesting. Players may jump in or out at anytime, and new players are always welcome.

This story is ideal for newer and experienced players alike. Newer players will enjoy discovering classic D&D combat and roleplaying, while experienced players will enjoy exciting airship battles.

Learning Goals

Students will use problem solving, teamwork, and creativity to overcome challenges. As well as co-operation and communication as they decide the type of adventures they go on.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi everyone!

My name is Steven Mugnani Hallet, but you can just call me Mr. Steve.

I teach classes on Dungeons & Dragons, where you can learn to play, how to make your own campaign, or just play in one.

I have been working with children of all ages and backgrounds for over fifteen years. I have a bachelors in child psychology and am currently working as a para-educator in an elementary school. I have been playing Dungeons & Dragons since I was young, and running my own games since I graduated high school in 2007.

I believe that children learn in many different ways, and the co-operative story telling and imaginative play of Dungeons & Dragons provides a fun and interactive way for children to utilize logic, creativity and teamwork.

In addition to Dungeons & Dragons I love to read, write, hike and play all sorts of games.

I look forward to meeting you all!

~ Mr. Steve
