Description

Class Experience

I have been the game master for two groups that usually meet once a week for a few hours each, that have been consistently meeting for the last three years. I have done a lot of reflection on making and running games, as well as the storytelling and world building that goes into them. I am hoping to share some of my insights and passions, in helping your child learn how to both play and host roleplaying games with friends.

I also have previous experience, teaching ages 12-17 where I was a summer camp instructor for two summers. There I taught students how to create levels in computer games, focusing on aspects like storytelling and game design.
There will be no homework needed for this course.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
There will be mentions of fantasy violence within the context of creative storytelling.
There will be a link to a free and public copy of the D&D 5th Edition ruels.
