Dungeons and Dragons: Monster Hunters Inc. (Extended 3-hour Edition)
What's included
1 live meeting
3 in-class hours per weekClass Experience
➡️ THURSDAY class is Level 4, in a remote farming community where a very special little girl with "The Sight" claims she saw a horrifying creature in her family's barn... which may or may not explain the string of disappearances in the area. Monster Hunters Inc. is an ongoing adventure. You can join at the beginning or you can jump in at anytime to join one of the monster hunts! 🧙 This class is an immersive Dungeons and Dragons campaign for students who wish to build a character and create an ongoing, fully-realized adventure with that character. Together, we will tell an epic story of your heroes' life. Our adventures will focus on team-building, storytelling, rich roleplaying, creative problem solving, exploration of wondrous fantasy lands and, of course, the hunting of unique, bizarre, fantastical creatures! It is recommended that you have played D&D 5th Edition before, however it is not required. If you are brand new to the game, let me know and I will be delighted to introduce you to the game. If you're starting with the first session, please create a Level 1 character and have it ready. If you're jumping in to a later session, the current level of play will be posted here! Either way, get in touch with me if you need help. I can assist you in character creation or provide a premade character. Want to play this campaign but don't have time for a 3-hour session? I'm offering the exact same class with a 90-minute weekly session: https://outschool.com/classes/dungeons-and-dragons-monster-hunters-inc-zB2GhTg8#us0hCpA5gZ Please note that as an ongoing class, we will not be repeating story or material. New joiners will be integrated into the story wherever we are. RULES 1) No evil characters 2) No flying races 3) I ask that your character is someone who generally likes other people and is a supportive, positive team player. This makes the team stick together and the game run smooth. 🧟♂️
Learning Goals
Students will continually learn more about the game and will also learn improv skills, critical thinking, strategic planning and teamwork.
Each week will be a fun exercise in imagination, group storytelling and creativity. Emphasis on fun!
Other Details
Parental Guidance
As this is a fantasy Dungeon and Dragons adventure where the students role-play heroes facing dangerous adversaries, there will be occasional portrayals of non-graphic fantasy violence, akin to Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter.
Students will always be encouraged to have their characters solve problems without violence, but sometimes foes will be faced that require a strong sword arm or a potent spell. Even in those cases, the portrayals will be age appropriate.
Supply List
You will need: 1) Character Sheet 2) Dice or online dice roller 3) Notepad

Teacher expertise and credentials
I first began playing D&D back in the early days of 2nd Edition, when I was just 8 years old. Thus began a lifelong love of fantasy, imagination, roleplaying games and collaborative storytelling. Besides running professional D&D games, I am also a trained theatre actor and producer with 20+ years of experience creating immersive stories.
As a DM, I am patient, endlessly enthusiastic, creative, organized and devoted to my players' enjoyment. I also do quite a few character voices!
