Dungeons and Dragons: Designing Dungeon Maps
Class experience

We will analyze them in the context of creating both a world and a story for our adventures. However, we will also take a look at...
I have been the game master for two groups that usually meet once a week for a few hours each, that have been consistently meeting for the last three years. I have done a lot of reflection on making and running games, as well as the storytelling and world building that goes into them. I am hoping to share some of my insights and passions, in helping your child learn how to both play and host roleplaying games with friends. I also have previous experience, teaching ages 12-17 where I was a summer camp instructor for two summers. There I taught students how to create levels in computer games, focusing on aspects like storytelling and game design.
No other websites or materials will be needed. I will use the whiteboard feature of Zoom to provide visual examples. Students are welcome to bring paper (graph paper is helpful) and pens or pencils and draw their own maps during the class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
