Description
Class Experience
This class is taught in English.
This class is focused on mastering the basics of the Dungeons and Dragons player's ruleset. When the adventure concludes, students will feel comfortable and confident in core gameplay including combat, spell and magic use, traveling and resting, social roleplay, and plenty of lesser known or tricky rules that often trip up beginners. On top of learning game-specific rules and mechanics, students will be engaged in an ongoing guided lesson of interpersonal group dynamics, shared responsibility and trust, and conflict resolution in pursuit of a common goal.
No homework is required. Instead, I will provide free materials and online resources for students to engage with if they wish.
3 files available upon enrollmentA printable companion booklet filled with art and short stories designed just for this class will be provided after signup. It is completely optional, but will provide fun context, clues, and information that can be used during class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
There are no tests or assessments in this class.
1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
This course will involve some medieval fantasy-style action and combat, including bows and arrows, swords, magic, monsters, and life and death situations.
