Get ready for roleplaying demonstrations, lectures, and Q&A sessions that spark creativity! 📚 Topics Covered 🎲📖 Learn the Basics: What is a tabletop roleplaying game? Getting into character: Get into the game with a roleplaying improv session (fan favorite) Master of Mechanics: Grasp the essential rules of Dungeons and Dragons. A heroic math lesson: Explore the dice and modifier system. What's in a character: Review the ideas of "race" and "class" in game. Character building workshop: Learn how to create your own character using D&D Beyond. Your first combat adventure! 🚨 Note on Late Arrivals ⏰👋 Due to the interactive nature, latecomers will be admitted strategically to minimize disruptions. Learning Goals
🎲Understand the Basics of Tabletop Roleplaying Games: Students will be able to describe the core ideas inherent in a tabletop roleplaying game, including collaborative storytelling, roleplay mechanics, and the general structure of gameplay.
Make Informed Gameplay Choices: Students will be able to make gameplay decisions to help one another and achieve their quest goals!

Parental Guidance
Roleplaying games offer a creative "sandbox" in which participants can engage in imaginative problem solving. Fantasy violence will not be directly depicted, but the possibilities of this within the game will be discussed. Students may wish to explore ideas related to their characters that involve in-game "weapons" and "spells" for the use of "in-game" violence.

We have organized and taught groups of Dungeons and Dragons for over 7,500 students and community members, running games professionally for private clients between the ages of 7-70 years old. Our teachers and GMs train together on best practices, are almost all traditional classroom teachers, and work to ensure an excellent experience for each child, every class.
