Animals are a lovely way to introduce your children to new Chinese words! Hi! I am Brenna, and I have lived in China and have been speaking Chinese for 15 years. Students are also welcome to come to this class for review! We will start with introductions and learn to how to say "my name is" in Mandarin! Then, we will talk about our favorite animals. Next, I will show slides and videos of animals where I will introduce the name of the animal in Chinese and teach students the sounds it makes in another language. After that, we will play a practice game.

I'm Brenna, and I teach courses about poetry, writing, literature, building vocabulary, book club, Mandarin Chinese, and ESL. I have a master's degree in English, a bachelor's degree in English, and 15 years of experience speaking Chinese. I lived in China for many years, where I also taught ESL courses to English Language Learners. I was a college English professor for 12 years, and I currently work as a writer for a college in the Midwest. I have published a textbook and countless articles about education.
When I teach, my first goal is to get to know my students better, so that I can tailor my examples and focus points on their needs!
I have two boys, two cats, and my hobbies include hiking, kayaking, camping, and writing poetry!
